Padlocks: Definition of Love

A custom by which sweethearts affix padlocks to a fence or similar public fixture to symbolise their love. Simple as that!

The story goes like this: in the 1980s, in the centre of Pecs,  couples began to clamp padlocks to an iron fence as a symbol of their love. It didn’t take much, and the fence was completely covered. The solution that the tourists and the locals found? Start attaching them throughout the whole town centre.

Local authorities added a new iron fence next to the first one just to stop people for randomly attaching the love padlocks. But the second one is almost full, so the authorities should come with a solution ( iron fence # 3) or else Pecs will become a giant love padlock.

So, if you want to keep your partner close to you forever, buy a lock come to Pecs and attach it!
